The Insurgents are trying to escape to the Truthbringer, but as soon as their shuttle got too far from the planet, it immediately de-synthesized. Scientists realized that something in the magnetic field of the planet kept melting away, but even then its lifespan was limited to only two months. The Insurgents were faced with the grim prospect that they themselves could not leave the planet without de-synthesizing. Somehow, they had to be rescued from this hell-hole, and so they build weapons to storm the Veritas Sanctuary and recover the transmitter codes for the Truthbringer so they could call for help.

The Survivalists had found the ultimate survival mechanism: a new energy which they embraced and believed it to be the ultimate advancement for humanity. Through the new energy, they would create the ideal world as their very own Eden. The corporate lackeys and the Insurgent nuts had to be eliminated, and only the purest specimens of humanity would be left to enjoy eternal life.

The Veritas Corporation declared martial law on the planet and began deploying troops armed with synthesized weapons to all their mining outposts. They were adamant in maintaining law and order on Procyon III, insisting that their charter was still valid and that this was still a mining operation under the control of Veritas.
